St. Patty's Day Show, New Single, Shirts & More

Things are looking gooooood for Clover Overboard! What's happening?

Live Radio Session: For the Record

On Friday April 12th, CKXU airs our live session for the award-winning radio show For the Record! Four of the six songs we perform are otherwise unrecorded and unreleased, so there will be some new sounds for ya in there. Listen in Friday morning, April 12th at CKXU 88.3FM in Lethbridge or online at www.ckxu.com. We're so grateful for Dai, Matthew, and the team at CKXU for making this happen and for all their support into the local arts scene.

Upcoming Shows

Next up, we're stoked to join Charles Marks & the Spineless Cowards at Theory Brew this Saturday, March 2nd! It's an exciting show for a few reasons; it will be the last live show for the foreseeable future for Charles Marks & the Spineless Cowards (which is sad), and Theory Brew just finished extensive renovations to open up their space. Having said that, we'll be missing three members from Clover Overboard that night so it will be a unique show, indeed. We're excited to put on an intimate, stripped back performance.

Then, we're playing a show for St. Patty's Day weekend! We've been dreaming about this day for years and we're so incredibly happy to be on the bill for Friday, March 15th at the Slice with The Sour Patch Men and Aaron Phelan of New Autumn. You can expect a solid mix of Clover Overboard originals and traditional Irish & Celtic punk covers. This is be the place to be in Lethbridge on the Friday of St. Patty's Day weekend.

Band Shirts

We ordered band shirts from local legends Sinking Ship Supply Co! If you show up on March 15th without any green on, we got you. The shirt design was a real team effort. Alexanne drew up the first draft on the back of a receipt mid-road trip and brought it to the band. Alina, our Artistic Scribbler and master violinist, took the draft from grade-six level scribbles to a legit piece of art that we're proud to rep. She nailed it. Then our drummer, Lyndsay, offered to add some classic weathering marks and touch up the font just slightly, since she designed the original logo.

And we haven't even mentioned our single, yet! WE'RE ROLLIN' BABY!

Single Release: Hurricanes

On March 27th, 2024 (or around then...), we will release our second ever single as Clover Overboard. It's called Hurricanes. The song has similar themes to our first single, Like the Sea. It's about the magic of music and knowing your roots. It also touches on what it's like to work our way into the Celtic punk scene as a band fronted by a little blonde gal. We love a good underdog story... woof!

Alright that's all. Thanks for being here, we love ya!
